The Burma Bibas vision took shape many years ago. During the 2nd World War, when fabric was nearly impossible to obtain, Our founder, Samuel Klaus, had the resourceful idea of buying silk parachutes from the U.S. military. He then had his artist hand paint brightly colored, exotic “Burmese” styled floral prints on this parachute fabric. Overnight, retailers were lining up for these unprecedented creations. Hence the name Burma. Bibas came later… that’s another story.
